The JBay local Boardrider’s Surf Competition was on this weekend! The gals convinced me to register. I’m so glad that I did because it was amazing to be a part of the local community! There was 5 really epic gals in my heat including Emma Smith who was SA surf champ of 2012. It was exhilarating being in the water with these awesome ladies encouraging each other to reach our potential and have fun!
Christian Surfers has reached out to JBay in so many ways including local owners of surf shops, surf clubs and extended national surf competitions. I am so blessed to have this opportunity within the organization. I look forward to how God is going to use me in the future.
This week was spiritually draining in a good way! We covered a lot of ground including personality assessments, spiritual gifts and holy discontentment. We have been totally encouraged to be who we are. God created us all unique. I’ve been challenged to accept this and it has been so freeing! We all have our downfalls, but we have all been covered with God’s grace and I’m slowly moving into being more and more a woman after my Creator’s heart! He is not just a friend, but He is THE ALMIGHTY, THE NEVER ENDING, MAJESTIC KING! How awesome that we have such an Amazing God. He is not a wood carving or a gold statue. He is real, he is present and I am so blessed to know him!
As for “Holy Discontentment”. What wrecks you? Is it poverty, terminal illness, sex trade or racial discrimination? We are in the midst of discovering this holy discontentment. Mine has been so evident for 6 years. When God sees the hurt and the passion in our hearts concerning the things we cannot stand, He will give us opportunities to make a change!
